Aluminium wires

WIRES

In its wire production, NPA Skawina utilises its own wire rods with optimal chemical, mechanical and electrical properties. The manufacturing process is based on state-of-the-art drawing machines with the use of tools (draw plates) made from a polycrystalline diamond. This guarantees perfect surface quality and maintaining dimensional tolerances of the manufactured wires. NPA Skawina’s offer features the following:

ALUMINIUM AND ALUMINIUM ALLOY WIRE

The company manufactures wires with the diameter of ø 1.50 – ø 5.0 mm for both mechanical and electrical purposes. Aluminium wires can be supplied as hard (H14, H18) or soft (annealed).

Due to various applications, aluminium alloy wires can be manufactured based on the EN 50183 standard (alloy wire for electrical purpose) or in accordance with the customer’s requirements.

LIGHTNING PROTECTION WIRE

The 6xxx series aluminium and aluminium alloy lightning protection wires are an excellent alternative for galvanised steel wires. They are used in lightning protection systems (lightning rods, discharge cables). The benefit of aluminium lightning protection wires is their aesthetics, ease of manual bending and one-third the weight of traditional wires.

COATED LIGHTNING PROTECTION WIRE

NPA Skawina is the first Polish manufacturer of coated aluminium lightning protection wires. Coated lightning protection wires are becoming increasingly popular among companies that execute lightning protection systems and among customers that expect special visual advantages of such systems.

The appeal of such solutions is caused by the combination of the aluminium wire’s properties (flexibility and ease of bending that enables assembly without using a bending machine) as well as aesthetics (surface protection against corrosion and the ability to adapt the coating’s colour scheme, e.g. to the building facade). NPA Skawina is offering the 6xxx series aluminium alloy lightning protection wire coated in halogen-free coating in RAL colours pallet (the basic colours include: RAL 9010 – white and RAL 9005 – black).

CLIPS WIRE

NPA Skawina is a producer of wires intended for the food industry, characterised by high surface quality and subjected to additional washing processes. Depending on the customer’s specification, it is possible to apply lubricating films.

Packaging: NPA Skawina supplies wires in rings with the weight of 20 to 800 kg, depending on the wire type. Wires for the manufacturing of overhead cables are supplied on wooden drums, in steel baskets, octabins and reels provided by the Customer. Lightning protection wires are packaged in 20 kg rings and placed on a 1,200×800 mm Europallet, 20 pieces each. The ring layers are overlapped with cardboard to protect them against mechanical damage. The entire batch is wrapped in stretch film.
